Sudden unexplained death in childhood (SUDC) Foundation
The SUDC Foundation is the only organization worldwide whose purpose is to raise awareness, fund research, and serve those affected by sudden unexplained death in childhood (SUDC). The SUDC Foundation provides all services at no cost to the people it serves.
SUDC is a category of death in children between the ages of 1 and 18 that remains unexplained after a thorough investigation, including an autopsy. At this time, we do not know what causes SUDC, how to predict it, or how to prevent it.

Emily Long LCMHC
Emily Long is the mama of two daughters gone too soon, a Life Archaeologist, coffee shop writer, consumer of bagels and hot cocoa, endless reader, lover of travel, and occasional hermit. Emily is also a avid baker and has published a cookbook! In her downtime, (and when not in a pandemic) you can usually find her in at her favorite yoga studio, cursing in down dog.
I absolutely believe that giving voice to the hurts and wounds that feel unspeakable are our greatest catalysts to healing.
We can’t heal in silence and isolation.

Elizabeth Tullis Schneider
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 12 years of experience in the field. My degree in Marriage and Family Therapy equips me to understand not only the complexities of individual conflict and pain, but also that of relational struggle. My passion is to help individuals and couples cope and grow even as they are faced with unexpected and very painful challenges.
I believe that the pain of infertility and pregnancy loss is unique to each individual and couple and is also very misunderstood and sometimes hidden by our culture. Grieving the pain of unsuccessful pregnancy attempts or pregnancy losses even as you work to have a family creates a unique set of challenges. Finding a safe space to share this experience is a critical part of moving forward in a healthy way.
Grief is a very individualized experience. No two people grieve alike, nor should we encourage them to. It is my goal to help people discover what they need in order to share their pain, to acknowledge and respect their loss, and to find peace in the midst of the grief and heartache.

Dr. Sarah Pires
I'm Dr. Sarah Pires, a licensed clinical psychologist certified in perinatal mental health. I help overwhelmed women find self-compassion within so they can live their fullest life through the many transitions of motherhood.
It is one of my greatest joys to help support women as they find more self-acceptance and healthy self-expectations in a world that often asks us to be more. This led me to focus my work on helping women feel more peaceful in their relationships with themselves and the people they love. I believe in this so much because when we build a healthy relationship with ourselves, our best life is possible.

Purposeful Gift
Creating a legacy for an infant whose life will be brief is important to many families. One way to create a lasting legacy is through the purposeful gift of organ and tissue donation. Organ and tissue donation can allow your child to impact the lives of others directly through transplant or indirectly through lifesaving research and medical advances after they have passed away.
